School Council

At Carrowdore Primary we believe that children are at the centre of our school. So it is important that we hear about their passions, concerns and ideas. School council is one of the ways that these messages can be shared.

If you have any ideas about how to make our school an even better place then speak to one of these school council members or the teacher rep, Mrs Curragh:

2022:

Our first meeting of the year focused on choosing a charity to support in September/October through weekly class collections. School council members all agreed the local foodbank would be a great idea. This was shared with the whole school in assembly and school council members are encouraging their classmates to bring a small donation each Friday - every penny counts!

£500 was donated to the food bank at our harvest assembly!

School council members helped organise our Halloween disco by suggesting sings for the playlist.

Primary 5 pupils asked for November and December charity money to be donated to the Cancer Fund for Children NI. The school council unanimously agreed!
